Christ-Oriented, Relationally Equipping (C.O.R.E.) Conversatons
“My cup is full!” These were the words of the women were leaving the retreat completely satisfied in their time with the Lord.
It is common for Christian women who are serving Jesus to experience a season of spiritual dryness because they are giving out of their spiritual, emotional, and physical reserves at a faster rate than they have time to restock. Seeing this widespread need is why we started C.O.R.E. (Christ-oriented, relationally encouraging) Conversations. Our first objective is to help busy Christian women experience the presence of God daily.
Our inaugural C.O.R.E. cohort began at the beginning of 2023 with eight women, all in different seasons of life and ministry. We met each month via Zoom for different themed conversations. Afterwards, each woman was intentional about that month’s spiritual discipline to help remain connected to Jesus throughout her day. Throughout the month there were optional videos to watch or books to read to further strengthen her reserves.
Near the end of our time together, we had a retreat in the North Georgia mountains. We were gifted the use of two cabins by The Barn wedding venue in Blairsville. The tranquil surroundings were the perfect place for each woman to lay aside all responsibilities while she spent time alone with her Savior. The women were all filled to overflowing by their experience.
Women lead best from a place of rested abundance. While it is not always possible, there are some steps our ministry takes to help facilitate it.
- · We create a safe space for women in leadership to be authentic and vulnerable, free from judgment.
- · We provide opportunities for guided, silent retreats with ample time alone with Christ.
- · We provide tools to help develop healthy and sustainable rhythms for juggling all the different roles women fill.
- · We aim to keep the program as affordable as possible, as many women serve Jesus for little to no salary.
Our next C.O.R.E. Conversations cohort will begin after Labor Day. If you are interested in more information, email Traci Martin @ [email protected].
